For this ground-up custom ADU build in Tacoma, our clients dreamed of creating a whimsical library retreat—a space to relax, recharge, and escape into a good book. Working closely through design and material selections, we brought that vision to life with floor-to-ceiling custom bookshelves, a cozy bay window seat, and a warm electric fireplace that sets the perfect atmosphere. To add functionality, we incorporated a custom library ladder for easy access to the upper shelves and installed a quartz countertop desk—a practical workspace that allows the homeowners to sneak away and get work done during the day.
